Togo to Boost Electricity Imports from Nigeria's NDPHC

Togo is set to increase its electricity imports from Nigeria's Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) to address rising demand and ensure reliable electricity supply for newly connected customers nationwide. This decision was made during a strategic meeting between NDPHC and Compagnie Énergétique du Togo, led by D.

Currently, Togo purchases 75 megawatt hours of electricity from NDPHC on a bilateral basis. The partnership aims to strengthen cross-border electricity trade, contributing to stable electricity delivery and supporting economic activities in Togo.

The meeting highlighted the importance of a reliable payment framework to mitigate payment risks associated with cross-border electricity supply, ensuring a sustainable long-term partnership. Jennif Adighij, the Chief Executive Officer of NDPHC, expressed the company's readiness to deepen collaboration with Compagnie Énergétique du Togo, emphasizing the commitment to promoting energy integration across West Africa.
