Tompolo Encourages Kano Voters to Back Tinubu's 2027 Bid

High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, called on voters in Kano State to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, asserting that this would pave the way for a northern presidency in 2031. Tompolo made this appeal during the inauguration of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kano, where he was represented by High Chief Kestin Ebimorbowe Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services.

He argued that the North should back Tinubu for another term as part of an informal rotational presidency arrangement between the North and South. Tompolo cautioned against opposition candidates promising single terms, stating that elected officials typically seek two terms.

He noted that Tinubu, completing his first term, would not seek another after 2027, allowing northern politicians to unite for the 2031 election. Tompolo acknowledged the economic challenges from government reforms but highlighted increased state revenues as a benefit.

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf expressed full support for Tinubu's re-election, emphasizing the importance of national unity through rotational presidency.
