Seplat Energy Plc has disclosed a share purchase transaction by Heirs Energies Limited, a company controlled by Non-Executive Director Mr. Tony Elumelu. The filing details the acquisition of 6,000,000 ordinary shares on September 30, 2026, on the London Stock Exchange at £8.87 per share.
Seplat Energy Plc has notified the market that Heirs Energies Limited, a company controlled by its Non-Executive Director Mr. Tony Elumelu, purchased 6,000,000 ordinary shares of the Company on September 30, 2026. The transaction was executed on the London Stock Exchange at a price of £8.87 per share, with an aggregate volume of 6,000,000 shares.
Following the purchase, Heirs Energies Limited now holds 27,943,867 shares in Seplat Energy. When combined with shares held by Heirs Holdings Limited — another entity controlled by Mr. Elumelu — the total position across both entities stands at 126,400,000 shares. This combined holding represents a voting interest of 21.07% based on the Company's total issued share capital of 599,944,561 shares.
The disclosure was made in compliance with Rule 17.15(c) of the NGX Issuers' Rules and Article 19(3) of the UK Market Abuse Regulations, which require persons discharging managerial responsibilities (PDMRs) to publicly report dealings in the shares of companies where they hold such roles. The notification was authorised by Mrs. Edith Onwuchekwa, Director of Legal and Company Secretary.
