Tonye Cole Secures APC Nomination for Rivers Governorship

Tonye Cole, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially picked up the party's governorship nomination form to contest in the upcoming Rivers State gubernatorial election. This move positions him to challenge the current governor, Siminalayi Fubara, who represents the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In the last election, Fubara won the governorship seat, finishing ahead of Cole, who was the APC candidate. Cole's campaign is expected to focus on economic growth, security, infrastructure development, and improving governance in Rivers State.

As of now, Fubara has not publicly declared whether he will seek a second term in office, leaving the political landscape in Rivers State uncertain as the election approaches.
