APC Stakeholders Back Fubara for 2027 Governorship Race

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State have expressed their support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara by purchasing nomination forms for him ahead of the 2027 governorship election. The announcement was made on Friday by a delegation led by Awaji Inombek Abiant, who emphasized that this decision reflects the confidence of the people in Fubara's leadership.

Abiant noted that the gesture is not financially motivated but rather a collective expression of the desire for continuity in governance. He highlighted ongoing infrastructural developments under Fubara's administration, including improvements in previously isolated communities and economic growth in the riverine areas.

The move comes amid political realignments in Rivers State following disputes within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Fubara's subsequent defection to the APC, aiming to consolidate support ahead of the next electoral cycle.
