Nigeria's Inflation Rate Drops in October 2025, River State Tops Most Expensive List

In October 2025, Nigeria's inflation rate dropped to 16.05%, while food inflation decreased to 13.12% year-on-year. River State recorded the highest annual inflation rate of 17.2%, with food inflation at 18.0%.

Despite a slight drop in food prices month-on-month, non-food items like transport and housing contributed to the increased cost of living. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) released these findings based on the latest Consumer Price Index report.
