Trabzonspor Reports Al Ahli to FIFA Over Onuachu Transfer

Trabzonspor has filed a complaint with FIFA against Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, accusing them of making contact with striker Paul Onuachu without consent. Onuachu had an impressive season, contributing 26 goals and two assists in 26 appearances, helping Trabzonspor finish in the top three of the Turkish league and win the Turkish Cup.

His performance attracted interest from various clubs across Europe, with Al Ahli reportedly willing to quadruple his current salary to secure a transfer. Trabzonspor is unhappy with how Al Ahli has pursued Onuachu, as FIFA regulations prohibit clubs from negotiating with players who have more than six months remaining on their contracts.

Onuachu has two years left on his deal, and Trabzonspor is expected to sell him for a fee between €10 million and €15 million, pending a formal request. FIFA rules against Al Ahli could result in fines as the transfer window progresses.
