Plateau State Traditional Ruler and Women Abducted by Gunmen - Urgent Rescue Needed

Gunmen abducted the district head, Birbyang Alhaji Zubairu Garba, and two women in Plateau State, Nigeria. The incident took place in Kanam local government area on a Sunday night, with the assailants shooting sporadically before fleeing with their captives.

The wife of the district head managed to escape. This abduction follows a similar incident where a ward head was kidnapped and killed the previous week.

The Kanam Development Association condemned the act and called for the rescue of the victims. The Plateau State Police Command spokesperson, DSP Alabo Alfred, is yet to provide details on the incident.
