Tragedy in Bauchi: Police Constable Killed in Soldiers, Police Clash

In Bauchi State, a police constable named Ukasha Muham was killed during a clash between soldiers and the police. The altercation occurred on October 10, 2025, in the Bayan Gari area of Bauchi metropolis.

The clash began when an alterc involving a patrol team led by Inspector Hussaini Samaila broke out during a routine police operation. The situation escalated when two soldiers, Usman Mubarak and two others arrived at the scene in partial military uniform.

This led to the fatal shooting of the police constable, who was rushed to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital but pronounced dead. The incident was a result of a clash between policemen on duty and military personnel, leading to the unfortunate death of a passerby hit by a discharged bullet.

Additionally, seven construction workers, including three soldiers, were reported dead in a fresh attack in Zamfara State. The State Police Commissioner, Moham Dalijan, confirmed the deadly attack on the Funtua-Gusau highway.
