Fatal Road Crash Claims 3 Lives in Gombe, FRSC Urges Safe Driving

A tragic road crash on the Gombe-Yola road resulted in the loss of three lives and injuries to six individuals. The accident, attributed to wrong overtaking leading to a head-on collision, occurred at Kasher Junction in Akko Local Government Area.

The FRSC emphasized the importance of safe driving practices to prevent risks to road users. Among the victims was a deputy speaker, Austin Okezi Meregini, who reportedly lost two relatives in the crash.

The FRSC is treating the injured at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe, while the deceased have been deposited at the Specialist Hospital. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the accident.
