Three Dead, Six Injured in Gombe-Yola Road Crash: FRSC Urges Safety Precautions

Three individuals lost their lives and six sustained injuries in a tragic road accident on the Gombe-Yola highway near Kasher Junction in Akko Local Government Area. The collision occurred around 9:00 p.m. on a Tuesday night, involving two vehicles traveling in opposite directions.

Preliminary findings by the Gombe Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) indicated that wrong overtaking and excessive speed were major factors leading to the fatal crash. The survivors were promptly taken to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe for treatment, while the deceased were deposited at a specialist hospital in Gombe.

Motorists were urged to prioritize safety, especially when driving at night, to prevent such tragedies.
