Transcorp Power CEO Pledges Support for Delta's Growth

At the Delta State Economic and Investment Summit 2026, held in Asaba, Engr. Peter Ikenga, Managing Director/CEO of Transcorp Power Plc, emphasized the company's readiness to collaborate with the Delta State Government to address power supply deficiencies and stimulate economic growth.

He reiterated the vision of Transcorp Plc’s Group Chairman, Mr. Tony O.

Elumelu, that Delta State's development requires reliable power. Transcorp Power has operated in Delta State for over a decade, owning a nearly 1,000-megawatt-capacity power plant in Ughelli, which can supply power to two million homes and businesses.

Ikenga noted Delta's potential for power generation due to its gas reserves and highlighted the need for investment in gas feedstock and infrastructure. He expressed confidence that Delta State could become a leading economic force in Nigeria and West Africa, stating that Transcorp is prepared to implement an integrated power strategy to support the state's transformation objectives.
