Nigerian Transport Operators Increase Fares for Christmas Travel to South-East

Transport operators have announced new fares for Christmas travel from Lagos to the South-Eastern states of Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Abia. Fares are expected to increase by 20-30% during the peak travel window starting from December 18.

Passengers are already feeling the impact of higher prices, especially on popular routes to states like Imo. Operators like Peace Mass Transit have adjusted fares incrementally, with prices for 15-seater buses ranging from N25,500 to N38,000 at the lower end and up to N55,000 to N73,500 at the higher end.
