Trinity University VC Advocates for NELFUND Access

During the eighth matriculation and fourth convocation ceremony of Trinity University in Yaba, Lagos, held on Tuesday, Prof. Clement Kolawole, the Vice Chancellor, advocated for private universities to gain access to the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).

He emphasized the need for private university staff to access the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to support research and infrastructure development. A total of 200 students received bachelor's degrees across various faculties, including 101 from the Faculty of Arts, 64 from Social Management Sciences, 35 from Basic and Applied Medical Sciences, and 51 students achieved first-class degrees.

The week-long convocation activities included student and alumni engagement designed to foster professional growth. The convocation lecture, themed "Convok Galaxy Star: Empowering Global Impact," was delivered by Pastor Poju Oyemade, founder of the Covenant Nation Church.

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of degrees and diplomas to the graduating class of 2026.
