Troops Arrest 107 Suspects, Rescue 20

Troops conducted an internal operation resulting in the arrest of 107 suspected terrorists, kidnappers, and criminals, as well as the rescue of 20 hostages across the country in August 2025. The Defence Headquarters reported that the military operations in the North East led to the elimination of several terrorists, the destruction of logistics bases, and the recovery of weapons.

Director of Defence Media Operations Markus Kangye stated that the troops arrested suspects, rescued hostages, and recovered weapons and ammunition in various regions, including the North West, North Central, South East, and South South. The operations also dismantled terrorist networks and provided a safe space for the resettlement of displaced persons.

Additionally, illegal refining sites were destroyed, and stolen products were recovered during the operations.
