Nigerian Troops Rescue 117 Hostages, Arrest 150 Suspects in Nationwide Operations

Nigerian troops conducted successful nationwide operations, rescuing 117 hostages and arresting 150 suspects, including criminals and terrorists. The Defence Headquarters confirmed the operations led to the rescue of hostages and apprehension of suspects involved in various criminal activities.

Notable successes included the arrest of terrorist collaborators, rescue of hostages, and recovery of ammunition, logistics, and illicit drugs. The operations spanned different regions, with significant actions in North East, North West, and South East Nigeria.

The Defence Media Operations Director, Markus Kangye, highlighted the improved security situation that allowed farmers to return to their fields without hindrance. The operations aimed to sustain security throughout the farming season and beyond.
