Nigerian Troops Eliminate 20 Terrorists in Fierce Encounter, Soldiers Pay Supreme Price

Nigerian troops, operating in the Timbuktu Triangle in Borno State, eliminated 20 terrorists during a fierce encounter. The soldiers, including members of the civilian joint task force (CJTF), paid a heavy price with lives lost and injuries sustained.

Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba confirmed the significant gains made in degrading the terrorist network in the area but highlighted the sacrifices made by the troops. The operation involved continuous aggressive advances to clear terrorist enclaves, resulting in casualties on both sides.

The Nigerian Air Force played a crucial role in providing air support for the ground troops.
