Nigerian troops in Borno State thwarted an attack by ISWAP terrorists at their base in Mairari, killing several militants and recovering weapons. Lt.

Colonel Sani Uba of the Joint Task Force North East confirmed the successful repelling of the coordinated attack, preventing the breach of the base by two vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices.
