Mr. Jollof Warns Against Trump's Intervention in Nigeria

Comedian and social media influencer Nelson Uchechukwu, popularly known as Mr. Jollof, has cautioned Nigerians against celebrating U.S. President Donald Trump's recent comments about Nigeria, which he perceives as a threat to intervene in the country's internal affairs.

Mr. Jollof questions the trust Nigerians place in a leader who has previously made derogatory remarks about Africa. He argues that Trump's renewed focus on Nigeria does not stem from genuine concern but could lead to worsening conditions, including economic sanctions, blockades, and possible military operations.

He predicts that such foreign involvement could exacerbate hunger and unrest in Nigeria, rather than provide relief. Trump has suggested that the U.S. military prepare for intervention in Nigeria, citing concerns over the protection of religious freedoms amid violence affecting both Christians and Muslims.

The Nigerian government has dismissed Trump's claims as exaggerated and misleading, attributing violence to banditry and conflicts between farmers and herders.
