Turaki-Led PDP Faction Regains Control After Clash with Governors

The Tanimu Turaki-led faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has successfully regained control of the party's national secretariat in Wadata Plaza, Abuja, following a confrontation with a faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike. The clash, which involved serving governors Bala Mohammed of Bauchi and Seyi Makinde of Oyo, led to the expulsion of some members.

Turaki assumed office at the secretariat accompanied by the two state governors. The incident caused chaos in the area, with claims of teargas being used.
