Osimhen's Return Fails to Prevent Galatasaray Defeat

On Wednesday, Galatasaray faced a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Genclerbirligi in the Turkish Cup quarter-finals. Victor Osimhen, who had recently returned from an arm injury sustained during a Champions League match against Liverpool, started the game on the bench.

Galatasaray, heavily favored to win, had lost their previous Super Lig match and struggled to regain form. Genclerbirligi took the lead in the 51st minute through Firatcan Uzum.

Okan Buruk, the coach of Galatasaray, introduced Osimhen in the 78th minute in hopes of turning the game around. However, Genclerbirligi scored a second goal shortly after, with Adama Traore finding the net, sealing Galatasaray's fate in the tournament.
