Onuachu Nears Record as Trabzonspor's Top Scorer

Paul Onuachu, the 31-year-old striker for Trabzonspor, is on the verge of becoming the highest-scoring foreign player in a single season for the club. He achieved his 22nd goal during Trabzonspor's 2-1 win against Galatasaray in a Turkish Super Lig match over the weekend.

This goal brings his tally to 22 goals in 25 appearances in the domestic league this season. According to Aksam Spor, Onuachu needs just three more goals to surpass Alexander Sorloth's record of 24 goals, which was set during the 2019-20 season.

Additionally, if he scores four more goals, he will break Shota Arveladze's long-standing record of 25 goals in a single campaign for Trabzonspor.
