Turkish Airlines Celebrates 500th Aircraft Milestone

Turkish Airlines marked a significant milestone by unveiling its 500th aircraft, named "TK Family," at Istanbul Airport. This event celebrated the airline's growth journey since its establishment in 1933 and honored its 100,000 employees with a special livery featuring their images.

The ceremony included senior executives, former officials, and notable figures from the global aviation sector. Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, emphasized that the 500th aircraft symbolizes a 93-year vision and commitment to strategic growth.

He noted that twelve years ago, the airline had only 247 aircraft, and this milestone marks the beginning of a new era aimed at expanding the fleet to 1,000 aircraft by 2036. The event also featured a ceremonial flight, showcasing the airline's dedication to modernizing its fleet and enhancing operational efficiency across 356 destinations worldwide.
