Delta Police Arrest Two Suspected Armed Robbers in Delta

On October 11, 2026, operatives of the Delta State Police Command arrested two suspected members of an armed robbery syndicate, Musa Haruna, 22, and Mubarak Abdulahi, 20. The arrests occurred following credible intelligence received from the Civilian Anti-Cult Group regarding armed robbers operating in a tricycle along Osubi Road.

The police, in collaboration with local vigilantes, mobilized to apprehend the suspects, who were found in a tricycle with registration number BDG 429 QN. A search of the vehicle uncovered one locally made cut-to-size double-barrelled shotgun, seven live cartridges, and one jackknife.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the suspects were involved in robbing and abducting unsuspecting passengers, compelling them to transfer money from their bank accounts. The Delta State Police Command's spokesperson, Bright Edafe, stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate.
