Kano Police Arrest Two Suspected Robbers for Tricycle Theft

The Kano State Police Command arrested two suspected armed robbers, Abubakar Isah, 27, and Shehu Ibrahim, 25, in connection with the theft of a tricycle. The incident occurred on September 30, 2026, when Nasiru Ibrahim reported that he was hired to transport the suspects from Hotoro Quarters to Yar Gaya along the Kano-Maiduguri Highway.

During the journey, the suspects threatened him with locally made guns, robbed him of his tricycle, and dragged him into a nearby bush to prevent him from raising an alarm. Following the report, operatives from the Filin Hockey Police Division, under the directive of Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, conducted intelligence-led operations that led to the recovery of the stolen tricycle in Wudil Local Government Area on October 3, 2026.

The police recovered two locally made guns from the suspects, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. The Commissioner commended the operatives for their professionalism and urged victims of similar crimes to come forward.
