Kano Police Arrest Eight in Motorcycle Theft Operation

The Kano Police Command arrested eight suspects linked to a motorcycle theft syndicate after a report of criminal conspiracy and theft involving a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle at the Sabon Gari Police Division on September 22. Initially, two suspects, Maharazu Mohammed and Hassan Abdullahi, both aged 22 and residents of PRP Quarters, Kano, were apprehended.

Their confessions led to the identification and arrest of six additional suspects. The police recovered six motorcycles, which included two Motor B, three Haojue, and one Companion motorcycle.

Additionally, three previously recovered vehicles were returned to their owners after proper verification and documentation. Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, stated that investigations are ongoing to recover more stolen motorcycles and apprehend other members of the syndicate.

The police urged the public to report any stolen motorcycles for identification and potential recovery, provided they have proof of ownership. The suspects will be charged in court upon completion of the investigation.
