Flamingos to Face Benin in U-17 World Cup Qualifiers

The Nigeria U-17 Women's National Team, known as the Flamingos, is set to clash with the Benin Republic in the final round of qualification for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. This matchup follows the Flamingos' impressive 6-0 victory over Guinea at the Remo Star Stadium in Ikenne, which secured their place in the final qualifying round with an aggregate score of 11-0.

The Benin Republic also advanced by overpowering Sierra Leone with a 5-1 aggregate score. The first leg of the final qualifying round will take place in Ikenne from July 3 to July 5, while the second leg is scheduled for July 10 to July 12.

Akeem Busari is the coach of the Flamingos, who are aiming for a spot in the prestigious tournament.
