UAE Launches Virtual Work Visa for Remote Workers

The UAE government has introduced a Virtual Work Residence Visa, enabling foreign nationals to legally reside in the UAE while working remotely for companies based outside the country. This visa is valid for one year and is issued under self-sponsorship, meaning applicants do not need a UAE-based employer to support their application.

Eligible applicants must submit four key documents: a copy of valid health insurance, a fitness test result, proof of employment outside the UAE, and a salary certificate confirming a minimum monthly income of $3,500.
