UAE Government Revises Jobseeker Visa Requirements

The United Arab Emirates Government has revised the eligibility criteria and required documents for foreigners seeking a jobseeker visa, which allows them to enter the country to look for employment without needing a host or sponsor. This update was announced in a notice released on Thursday.

The jobseeker visa, also known as the job exploration visa, is one of ten visa types available in the UAE. It permits eligible foreigners to enter the UAE for job hunting but does not authorize them to work until they secure a separate work visa.

Eligible applicants can apply for a visa valid for 60, 90, or 120 days for a single trip. To qualify, applicants must meet specific conditions, including being classified in the first, second, or third skill level by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation or being recent graduates from one of the world’s top 500 universities.

Additionally, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and provide a financial guarantee, along with a colored photograph, passport copy, and an attested qualification certificate. Applications can be submitted through online services provided by relevant UAE authorities.
