UAE Expands Visa-On-Arrival for Kenyans and South Africans

The United Arab Emirates has announced an expansion of its visa-on-arrival program to include two African nations: Kenya and South Africa. Eligible citizens can now obtain either a 14-day or 60-day visa upon arrival, depending on the duration of their visit.

This decision, communicated by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, applies to nationals who hold an ordinary passport and a valid residence permit from specific countries, including European Union member states, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, or Canada. The initiative aims to streamline travel processes for Kenyans and South Africans living or working in these qualifying countries, eliminating the need for prior visa applications.

However, citizens from other African nations, such as Ghana and Egypt, will continue to follow the standard UAE visa application process through embassies and consulates. The UAE's move reflects its flexible entry and residency framework, enhancing the travel experience for incoming visitors.
