Uba Sani to Lead APC Campaign Council for Ekiti Elections

Uba Sani has been appointed as the chairman of the APC Governorship Campaign Council for the Ekiti elections, which are scheduled for June 20, 2026. This announcement was made on April 24, 2026, during the unveiling of the campaign council at the APC national secretariat in Abuja.

The council comprises top party leaders, including Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, who serves as the president of the Senate, and Godswil Akpabio, who will act as the vice chairman. Other prominent members include Tajudeen Abba, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President.

The council also includes governors such as Hope Uzodimma, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Babagana Zulum, Dapo Abiodun, and former governors like Kayode Fayemi and Yahaya Bello. The APC has further established strategic sub-committees to manage election planning, resource mobilization, media, public security, and youth mobilization ahead of the elections, reflecting the party's commitment to the Ekiti governorship election.
