Uba Sani Advocates for Urban Planning Collaboration

Uba Sani, the Governor of Kaduna State, has called for collaboration with the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners to strengthen urban planning and land administration in the state. During a courtesy visit from the institute, Sani highlighted the need for expert guidance and partnership to achieve sustainable development outcomes.

He noted that the administration is committed to both rural and urban development, with a focus on massive infrastructure development. Sani recalled Kaduna State's historical engagement with the institute, dating back to the 1913 master plan, and emphasized the state's selection as a pioneer for the World Bank Group's Nigerian land title registration program.

He expressed hope that the institute would continue to provide technical advisory services to enhance land use and impact social and economic development. The governor's remarks were made during a meeting with a delegation led by Prof.

Kingsley Ogboli, a member of the Town Planner Registration Council of Nigeria.
