Mourinho Reflects on Real Madrid's 2-1 Win Over Inter
In the UEFA Champions League group stage opener, Real Madrid secured a 2-1 victory against Inter Milan. Jose Mourinho, who previously managed Real Madrid and had not participated in the Champions League with the club since 2013, expressed mixed feelings about the performance despite the positive outcome.
Real Madrid took the lead with a goal in the first half, followed by a second goal from captain Federico Valverde. Inter Milan managed to score through Carlos Augusto, but they could not equalize.
Mourinho's frustration stemmed from Madrid's inability to convert several scoring opportunities that could have sealed the match earlier. The upcoming fixture for Real Madrid is against AS Roma, another club Mourinho has managed, creating a unique situation for him as he faces two former teams in consecutive matches.
