British Army Offers Six Roles for Foreign Nationals Without Qualifications

The British Army has published a list of six soldier roles that foreign nationals can apply for without needing formal educational qualifications. These positions are open to applicants aged between 16 and 36 years.
The roles include: Artillery Surveillance Observer, Artillery Command Systems, Household Cavalry Soldier, Infantry Guardsman, Driver Communications Specialist, and Chef. The application process to the start of training is expected to take between 3 and 6 months.
While no academic certificates are required, each role has specific physical benchmarks. Combat roles demand a mid-thigh pull of 76kg, a medicine ball throw of at least 3.1 metres, and a 2km run in under 10 minutes and 15 seconds.
Artillery and logistics roles have slightly lower fitness thresholds. Some positions are also available on a part-time basis through the Army Reserve, requiring a minimum commitment of 27 days per year.
Recruits earn recognized qualifications through their training and service.
