UK Investigators Clear Dangote Refinery of 'Dirty Fuel' Allegations

The UK-based Independent Investigative Panel (IIP) dismissed allegations against Dangote Refinery of importing 'dirty fuel.' Raymond Neil, in a report released on Friday, confirmed that the refinery did not exceed Nigeria's sulphur limit in its petrol imports. The investigation found no evidence supporting claims of high-sulphur petrol imports.

The refinery operates under regulatory clearance from the Nigerian Midstream Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). Neil emphasized the importance of countering misinformation to protect public confidence in Nigeria's largest industrial project.
