The UK government has published a full list of 91 occupations eligible for its Scale-Up Visa, which is designed to attract high-skilled professionals to fast-growing British companies. The list includes a variety of roles, from chief executives and senior officials to biological scientists, civil engineers, and solicitors, reflecting the diverse skills that qualifying scale-up employers can recruit from overseas.

The Scale-Up Visa allows endorsed businesses to hire skilled workers without needing to sponsor them for the entire duration of their stay. Workers must meet a salary threshold based on the going rate for their specific occupation, and their role must be listed on the approved occupations list.

Unlike the Skilled Worker Visa, this route does not require continuous employer sponsorship after an initial period, providing workers with more flexibility to change jobs once they have established themselves in the UK.
