UK Government Lists 31 Roles for Health and Care Visa

The UK government has officially released a list of 31 job roles that qualify for the Health and Care Worker visa. Applicants must be qualified doctors, nurses, health professionals, or adult social care professionals and must secure employment with a UK health and care employer that has received Home Office approval.

Additionally, applicants' salaries must meet either the minimum threshold or the standard "going rate" for their occupation, whichever is higher. Employers who fail to pay at least the national minimum wage or breach UK working hour regulations will have their employees' visa applications refused.

The eligible occupation codes include roles such as health services managers, biochemists, generalist practitioners, various nursing roles, pharmacists, and social workers, among others. Prospective applicants must ensure their specific role aligns with one of the recognized occupation codes before applying.

This visa aims to attract workers to fill roles within the National Health Service and the broader social care sector.
