Umahi Declares South-East Support for Tinubu in 2027 Election

Former Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, declared at the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Festival that the South-East will support Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election. Umahi dismissed the influence of the Peter Obidient Movement in the region, emphasizing that the people of Ebonyi State have been marginalized for too long.

He praised Tinubu for giving a sense of belonging to the people and stated that it is time for Ebonyi State to reciprocate the gesture. Umahi warned against being deceived in the upcoming election, highlighting the positive impact Tinubu has had on Ebonyi State.

The declaration was made to show support for Tinubu's potential candidacy in 2027.
