Umahi Showcases Federal Projects, Thanks Tinubu in Ebonyi

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, David Umahi, the Governor of Ebonyi State, led a federal government delegation, including presidential adviser Bayo Onanuga, to inspect ongoing federal road projects across Ebonyi State. Umahi highlighted the unprecedented infrastructural transformation under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration, expressing deep gratitude for the tangible developments in the Southeast region.

He mentioned that the federal government has made provisions in the 2026 budget to connect the corridor directly to Ebonyi State's capital, with an 18km road project included. Despite funding challenges, Umahi assured that work would continue uninterrupted across project sites, with a total project cost of 25 billion naira.

He described the Trans Sahara Super Highway as a critical economic route that would connect Nigeria to neighboring countries and unlock agricultural and industrial opportunities. Umahi emphasized that infrastructural investment is essential for stimulating economic growth, drawing comparisons to similar investments in the United States during economic downturns.
