Umahi Praises Tinubu's Infrastructure Reforms for Growth

During a visit from Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu in Abuja, David Umahi, the Minister of Works, praised President Bola Tinubu's leadership, particularly in addressing insecurity and infrastructure development. Umahi urged Nigerians to support Tinubu's administration, emphasizing the need for constructive criticism rather than fault-finding.

He reported that 80 percent of ongoing road projects, valued at 34 trillion naira, were inherited from previous administrations, dating back to 2000-2015. Umahi noted that good roads are essential for security agencies and economic activities.

He mentioned significant projects, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, which aims to attract investors and improve safety through measures like CCTV installations. Umahi also announced plans to strengthen federal highway patrols and explore partnerships with private security outfits.

He expressed optimism that Tinubu's macroeconomic reforms would stabilize the economy by 2028, urging patience as infrastructure projects progress.
