Umahi Addresses Benin-Agbor-Asaba Road Crisis

On a visit to the Benin-Agbor-Asaba road, Minister of Works David Umahi addressed the severe hardships faced by motorists and commuters due to the road's deteriorating condition. This visit was prompted by President Bola Tinubu's directive for the Federal Ministry of Works to urgently intervene in critical road sections.

Umahi expressed concern for affected road users and assured that the government would provide immediate relief while pursuing permanent solutions. He was accompanied by members of the National Assembly Works Committees and planned to meet with representatives from the Edo and Delta State Governments and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

Additionally, Umahi announced simultaneous actions on the Ifaki-Kabba-Ado Ekiti Road in Ekiti and Kogi states. He emphasized that the federal government's approach would not be limited to temporary repairs.

This visit followed the flag-off of the 56.5-kilometre Ibadan-Ijebu Ode dualisation project, which aims to enhance economic links between Oyo and Ogun states.
