Umahi Inspects Benin-Agbor-Asaba Expressway Congestion

On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, Senator David Umahi, the Minister of Works, conducted an urgent inspection of the Benin-Agbor-Asaba Expressway in response to President Bola Tinubu's order aimed at alleviating the congestion affecting motorists. His arrival in Edo State was communicated by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Francis Nwaze, who shared a video of the inspection.

The Federal Government is implementing immediate corrective measures on the Benin-Agbor-Asaba axis and the Ifaki-Kabba-Ado Ekiti road. Umahi deployed the Minister of State for Works and ministry officials to address issues on the Ekiti-Kogi corridor while he led a coordinated intervention in Benin.

The meeting in Benin will involve key stakeholders, including representatives from the Edo and Delta State Governments and the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Umahi took responsibility for the situation and apologized to commuters for the delays, promising both immediate relief and long-term solutions to restore the roads.
