UNICEF Urges Unity to Combat Child Malnutrition in Plateau and Bauchi States

UNICEF Representative in Nigeria, Ms. Wafaa Saeed, has raised concerns about child malnutrition in Plateau and Bauchi states, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to address the issue.

During her recent visit, Saeed highlighted the importance of unity among stakeholders, including the government and private organizations, to rescue children from malnutrition. She commended the leadership shown by the Plateau and Bauchi governments in mobilizing communities to tackle malnutrition.

Despite some progress, nearly half of children under five in these states are still stunted, indicating the necessity for sustained action. Urgency and unity are crucial to providing every Nigerian child with a chance to survive and thrive.
