UNICEF Urges Kano State to Invest in Child Health and Education

UNICEF, through its chief field officer in Kano, Mr. Rahma Rihood Mohammad Farah, urges the Kano State government to prioritize child welfare by ensuring access to life-saving vaccines, adequate nutrition, mental health services, and child protection across communities.

The focus is on improving child poverty levels, reducing child marriage, and enhancing healthcare services in states like Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa. UNICEF is collaborating with partners like Gavi and the UK's FCDO to upgrade healthcare facilities and promote education and digital learning opportunities.
