Unilever Nigeria Enhances Ogun State Primary School Facilities

On February 18, 2026, Unilever Nigeria, one of the country's longest-standing manufacturing companies, announced a renovation project at a primary school in Elero Igbesa, Ogun State, in partnership with GEP. The project involved upgrading a classroom block, modernizing sanitation facilities, and introducing sustainable energy solutions such as solar panels.

Tobi Adeniyi, Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria, emphasized that the initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education. Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, expressed the government's delight at the intervention, noting its alignment with the state's educational infrastructure renewal agenda.

The project aims to create a safer, cleaner, and more inspiring learning environment for children, thereby enhancing their academic performance and overall well-being. The head of community corporate affairs at Unilever Nigeria, Zainab Obagun, and the headmistress, Mr. Yemisi Olugbil, both expressed gratitude for the improvements, highlighting their positive impact on student motivation and parental confidence.
