Yahaya Bello Urges Unity and Patience Among Politicians

Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, addressed politicians during a gathering with members of the Kogi State House of Assembly, where he emphasized the need for unity, patience, and legacy-driven leadership in political activities. This meeting, reported through a statement by Michael Ohiar, the director of Yahaya Bello's media office, took place in Lokoja amid growing political consultations and realignments following the inauguration of Bello's successor, Ahm Usman Ododo, who emerged victorious in the 2023 governorship election.

Bello, who governed Kogi State from 2016 to 2024, remains a significant influence in the state's political structure. He congratulated aspirants for expressing interest in nomination forms and reminded them that political leadership is transient.

He urged them to be aware of the sacrifices made by others and to create opportunities through respect and honor. Bello also advised aspirants to return to their constituencies to reconcile with stakeholders and emphasized the importance of unity and grassroots engagement for electoral success.
