Chelle to Scout New Players for Unity Cup in London

Eric Chelle, the current coach of the Super Eagles, is set to feature new foreign-based professional players and those from the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) in the upcoming Unity Cup in London, which begins on May 26. This initiative comes after the Super Eagles failed to qualify for this year's World Cup.

Chelle aims to rebuild the team and will use the Unity Cup as a platform to assess new talent. He plans to scout players of Nigerian descent in Europe and will also consider previous call-ups alongside top players from the NPFL.

Chelle has already given debuts to players such as Benjamin Fredrick, Igoh Ogbu, Felix Agu, Christantu Uch, Papa Daniel, Alimi Sikiru, Chinemerem Ugwuez, and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi in previous editions of the Unity Cup. He will continue to monitor domestic league games until the end of the season to identify potential new players.
