Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle Names Squads for Friendlies

Eric Chelle, the head coach of the Super Eagles, has unveiled the squads for the Unity Cup and international friendlies against Poland and Portugal. The Unity Cup squad features several home-based players alongside experienced foreign-based regulars.

Nigeria will face Zimbabwe in the semi-finals of the Unity Cup on Tuesday next week. The squad includes goalkeepers Franci Uzoho from Omonia FC (Cyprus), Arthur Okonkwo from Wrexham FC (England), and Michael Atata from Ikorodu City.

Defenders include Bruno Onyemaechi from Olympiakos (Greece) and Emmanuel Fernandez from Glasgow Rangers (Scotland). The midfield features Wilfred Ndidi from Besiktas (Turkey) and Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge (Belgium).

The forward line includes Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray (Turkey) and Ademola Lookman from Atletico Madrid (Spain). For the friendlies against Poland and Portugal, the squad also includes Maduka Okoye from Udinese FC (Italy) and Oluwasemilogo Ajayi from Hull City (England), among others.
