University of Glasgow Launches African Excellence Scholarship

The University of Glasgow, located in Glasgow, Scotland, has introduced the African Excellence Scholarship aimed at supporting exceptional African students pursuing postgraduate studies in the UK. This scholarship will cover full tuition fees for 16 selected candidates enrolling in master's programs for the 2026-2027 academic session.

Eligible applicants must demonstrate academic excellence equivalent to a UK first-class honors degree and can apply for postgraduate taught master's programs starting in September 2026. Additionally, international students receiving the scholarship will need to meet UKVI living cost financial requirements.

The application deadline is set for March 31, 2026, at 23:59 UK time, with shortlisted candidates expected to be contacted by May 8, 2026. The scholarship is available to students from various African countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
