UNIZIK Appoints Prof. Ugochukwu Anyaehie as New Vice-Chancellor

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka, Nigeria, has named Prof. Ugochukwu Anyaehie as its new Vice-Chancellor, following the approval by the university's Governing Council.

Prof. Anyaehie, a renowned scholar in clinical physiology, is expected to bring his academic and administrative experience to advance the institution's academic excellence and reforms.

His appointment comes after the non-renewal of Prof. Dame Carol Chinyelugo Arinz Umobi's tenure.

The selection process was conducted in line with the university's governance guidelines.
